Our Answers
What is Dekton?
Dekton is a cutting-edge, ultra-compact surface material composed of raw materials used in the production of glass, porcelain, and quartz. Known for its outstanding resistance to scratches, stains, and impact, Dekton is a versatile choice for kitchen worktops, bathroom surfaces, and other high-traffic areas.
Is Dekton heat resistant?
Yes, Dekton can withstand heat up to 400°C without sustaining damage. It is designed to handle hot items like saucepans, frying pans, and coffee makers.
For prolonged exposure, particularly on thinner profiles like 4mm and 8mm, we recommend using trivets or protective mats. Avoid placing electric grill elements, hobs, or ovens directly on the surface, and ensure Dekton is not exposed to open flames or extreme heat sources, such as barbecues or fireplaces
Is Dekton durable?
Absolutely. Dekton is exceptionally durable, offering resistance to scratches, stains, and impacts, ensuring a long-lasting surface for various applications.
Does Dekton require special care?
No. Dekton is low-maintenance and easy to clean with warm water and a mild detergent, keeping it pristine without any special effort.
Is Dekton eco-friendly?
Yes, Dekton is made from natural raw materials and does not emit harmful chemicals. Its sustainable production process makes it an environmentally friendly choice.
How does Dekton compare to Quartz?
Dekton is an ultra-compact material crafted from raw materials used in glass, porcelain, and quartz production. Quartz, by contrast, is an engineered stone made by combining natural quartz with resins. Dekton stands out for its superior resistance to heat and UV rays, making it ideal for outdoor and indoor applications.
